AN IMPORTANT PROJECT FOR THE CITY
The City Council decided to unanimously approve the final report on September 3 and award the contract for the requalification of Rua da Fonte to the company Manuel Francisco de Almeida SA for the amount of 975,561 euros. This work is the result of a partnership between the Municipality of Vagos and AdRA – Águas da Aveiro Region with the objective of rationalizing and optimizing the resources, means and efficiency objectives in a perspective of price reduction and the cost-benefit ratio to be obtained, in this sense a grouping of contracting entities was created.
The Rua da Fonte requalification project contemplates paving the entire carriageway in all the streets where the water supply network renovations will be carried out, in an approximate length of 1620m, including 163 home extensions and the renovation of the water network. wastewater in an approximate extension of 1290 m of gravity collector, including 154 residential branches.
In this contract, the Cycle Track that will connect Vagos to the Industrial Area of Vagos will also be executed, starting at the future roundabout to be executed at the intersection of Rua de Cantanhede with Rua da Fonte. This bike path is included in a more comprehensive project that will make the connections between Mrs. Vagos, Vagos, Zona Industrial, Vagueira, Gafanha da Boa-Hora School Center and which will extend to the municipality of Ílhavo through Estrada Florestal.
