REPAVING THE STREETS OF CUCUJÃES

REPAVING THE STREETS OF CUCUJÃES

As part of the requalification of the city’s road network, the Municipality of Oliveira de Azeméis intervened on a significant set of streets in the village of Cucujães. The interventions in Cucujães are part of a wider operation that includes the requalification of streets in other parishes in the municipality, under the responsibility of the company Manuel Francisco de Almeida..

With regard to Cucujães, interventions on Rua do Pinhal, Brás Doze da Costa, Largo do Areal and Ernesto Valente streets have already been completed. Paving works are in progress on the streets of São Bento, Rua Colégio das Missões, Rua CNE, Rua 7 de Julho and Rua São Martinho.

The repaving works of the municipality’s road network are not restricted to Cucujães, and interventions in other areas of the municipality have been going on for some months, in partnership with the parish councils.
For the recovery of the road network, the City Council made available 1850 tons of bituminous putty to assist the most urgent situations in the entire municipality.
